| Beginning May 1, 2001, CBET will organize focus groups,
intensive seminars, conferences, and listservs for PEP Fellows
and other Russian business owners within CBET's first six
months. These efforts will bring the entrepreneurs together
to develop codes of ethics, heighten public awareness through
media campaigns, create associations and stimulate collective
action, encourage proactive work with corrupt officials,
and create bottom-up pressure to ignite a power base in
multiple Russian regions simultaneously. |
