Conveyor belt modeling

The results of model simulation carried out on the base of the Stream Function fields of the Potsdam Inst. for Climate Impact Researches (Ganopolski, 1995) are presented. The matter transformation was described according to (Yakushev, Mikhailovski, 1995).

Fig.1. Model scheme of the matter transformation:
phyto - phytoplankton, zoo - zooplankton, PO4 -phosphates, POP - particulate organic phosphorus, DOP - dissolved organic phosphorus, SCO2 - dissolved inorganic carbon, POC - particulate organic carbon, DOC - dissolved organic carbon. Thick arrows correspond to Michaelis-Menten formulation.
Scheme of transformation of phyto-, zooplankton and P, N, O, C compounds

Fig.2. The distribution of
phosphates (PO4), dissolved organic phosphorus (DOP), particulate organic phosphorus (POP), phytoplankton (F)and zooplankton (Z). Depth in meters, Latitude is presented in degrees (negative for Southern Hemisphere).
